Custom Metal Fabrication

Custom metal fabrication is what you need when a standard store-bought part simply will not work. You might have a specific gap to fill, a unique slope to match, or a particular look you want for your property. You call because you have an idea or a problem, and you need a piece of metal that fits exactly, not something close.

We start with a site visit. Jerry takes field measurements, notes the angles, and discusses how the piece will be used. Back in the shop, he selects the right material—steel, aluminum, or stainless—then cuts, bends, and welds it using MIG or TIG processes. The finished piece is test-fitted, ground smooth, and finished with primer or powder coat before we load it up.

Every job differs because of site access, existing structures, and the complexity of the design. A simple bracket on a flat driveway is straightforward, but a railing wrapping around a hillside deck requires more fitting and bracing. Material choice also matters: stainless costs more and takes different welding techniques. Weather can delay outdoor installation if rain or wind makes conditions unsafe.

On installation day, we protect adjacent surfaces with drop cloths and padding. We set the fabricated piece, weld or bolt it in place, and check for level and plumb. We clean up all metal shavings, grinding dust, and packaging. Before we arrive, clear the work area of furniture or vehicles. After we leave, you can use the piece immediately—no curing time needed.
